Coexister (Co-existir) was a five-piece punk-crust-metal band formed in 2007. Kallie, Samantha and Sarsha all had stints in earlier band Poodles, with Kallie and Sarsha forging their first musical bonds in hardcore crust outfit Sparkle Motion. Kallie, Samantha and Sarsha were joined by metal drummer Nick Oakes of Hung Jury, and later Numbskull and Stalker fame, along with Lauren on bass.

Although Coexister left no official releases in their short duration, the band quickly established themselves as stalwarts of the 2000s Wellington punk scene, playing shows with local bands including Scab, Shortlived and Punchbowl, and supporting Vae Victis (Oz), Born/Dead (USA) and Severed Head of State (USA) on their New Zealand tours. Many of these shows took place at the infamous and sorely missed Adelaide and Valve (now Valhalla).
