Neutronic, the latest release from Black Lick, does not muck about. Opener “Pyre” fair gallops out of the blocks, setting the scene for a band that meshes an uncompromising charge with deft melodies. Stylistically, Neutronic falls somewhere between hardcore and punk, with the rapid-fire drumming on the former, but the big choruses of the latter.
