Underground Emerges was one off show organised by Gerald Dwyer and held at the Newtown Community Centre, Wellington, on January 22, 1983. As the name suggests it aimed to showcase a new generation of punk and post-punk bands. This served as a dry run for the seminal Golden Showers gig that followed in April.
