Wellingtonzone was held at the Wellington Town Hall on April 3, 1981. Organised by Alan Jimson, who was a member of the Steroids, it also featured The Digits, The Mockers and Beat Rhythm Fashion. The hall’s concert chamber was packed at 500 attendees with people turned away. A live recording of the show was later released as the Wellingtonzone compilation, on Jimson’s Bunk Records label.
