The trio consisted of Jonny Trousers on drums, Nathan Judge on guitar\/ vocals, and Aidan McDonald on bass. That same year, Killtrain was featured on <em><strong>The Hairy Armpit Sessions<\/strong><\/em> compilation alongside other local punk acts like <strong>Natural Hazard, Dead Centre<\/strong>, and <strong>Mindset<\/strong>. In October 1997, they brought their \u201craverage\u201d to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/upthepunks.co.nz\/1997\/10\/punkfest-1997\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"6792\">Punkfest 1997<\/a><\/strong> at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/upthepunks.co.nz\/2024\/04\/aro-valley-hall\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"12457\">Aro Valley Hall<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:17px\">In 1998, Killtrain performed at a benefit gig for the <strong>New Zealand Anti-Vivisection Society<\/strong>, joined by Nelson bands <strong>FROMM, Pisstaken Identities<\/strong>, and <strong>Anastaisa Strapon<\/strong>. This performance was captured and released on the <strong><em>Death By Dogma<\/em> <\/strong>compilation in 1999. The band continued to play through 1999 and 2000, including a memorable set at the <strong>Grovelling 2000<\/strong> New Year\u2019s Eve event, one of their final shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:17px\">By 2000, Nathan Judge and Aidan McDonald relocated to Wellington, where they formed the band <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/upthepunks.co.nz\/2022\/06\/school-of-meat\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"434\">School Of Meat<\/a><\/strong>. Aidan also briefly played bass for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/upthepunks.co.nz\/2025\/02\/backyard-burial\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"77\">Backyard Burial<\/a><\/strong> from 2000 to 2001. Later, Aidan returned to Nelson and founded <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/upthepunks.co.nz\/2022\/06\/basura-blanca\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2127\">Basura
